Paddle mixer
A paddle mixer is highly suitable for mixing powders, pastes and sticky products. By making the paddles adjustable, you can intensify the mixing or prolong or shorten the retention time to assure a flexible process. The use of a double-shaft system makes it possible to greatly increase the mixing intensity, so that the homogeneity of the product can be achieved in a shorter cycle.
Klinkenberg paddle mixers are very popular for processing DDGS (distillers dried grains with solubles) and DGS (distillers’ grains and solubles). The solubles are reduced by evaporation to a syrup and mixed with 30% dry matter. By combining the dried grain and solubles, you get DGS, which is dried in a ring dryer or flash dryer to produce DDGS. This process is used to produce starch, glucose and bioethanol. The gluten separated in the process is used in many animal feeds. The paddle mixers are available in many types and sizes. They can be made in stainless steel or other materials, including wear-resistant materials. The paddle mixers can be supplied with ATEX certification.
