Spiral mixers
Klinkenberg ribbon mixers are very efficient in operation where small quantities of additives are measured into the base batch. The product has a constant motion to produce optimum mixing. A ribbon mixer fitted with two basic shafts can greatly increase the mixing effect for shorter and more intensive mixing processes. The intensity of a double-shaft ribbon mixer is achieved due to an overlap between the two ribbons in the heart of the machine. Thanks to this principle, a homogeneity of 90 to 95% can be achieved in just one minute. Because the ribbon mixer mixes gently, it is possible to mix granulates without much damage to the product.
Paddle mixers
A paddle mixer is highly suitable for mixing powders, pastes and sticky products. By making the paddles adjustable, you can intensify the mixing or prolong or shorten the retention time to assure a flexible process. The use of a double-shaft system makes it possible to greatly increase the mixing intensity, so that the homogeneity of the product can be achieved in a shorter cycle.
Conical mixers
Vertical pipe mixers and mixing silos
This method consists of a silo containing a vertical mixing tube with an attached screw auger or conical mixing shaft. This method is highly suitable for mixing or homogenising a variety of free-flowing components, powders or flakes. The mixing silo serves directly as a supply hopper, and large batches can be homogenised at relatively low cost.
